FITNESS AND REHAB HISTORY
In 2013, Mr. Luporini got bored with this traditional isolation movements and decided to try crossfit. He became a certified coach, enhanced his skill with mobility courses and started working at a local CrossFit gym. Thanks to crossfit, he discovered how limited his range of motion was and that strength from strictly isolation movement wasn’t the only part of fitness. Restrictions from repetitive stress movement led to multiple, severe muscle/joint pain and imbalances all over his body.
Mr. Luporini tried several different modalities of rehabilitation and multiple sports doctors. His pain didn’t get better, but continued to get worse. One of his last doctor’s visit, he was told he had arthritis (little did he know at the time that fascial restrictions can’t be diagnosed by any technology).
Mr. Luporini’s discipline and enourmous perseverance to always improve didn’t stop him from developing a much better over all general physical preparedness. Mr. Luporini researched self treatment (videos with massage tools) and dove into the rehab world. Working on his range of motion and muscle imbalances became his passion. It wasn’t until one year into crossfit that he had tried fascial release treatment. After just one treatment, his pain was reduced by 60-70%. His pain was almost gone after about 6 sessions.
Mr. Luporini always knew the corporate world wasn’t for him. In 2019 he left his corporate job to pursue another career, as a therapist in the bodywork industry. At school, Mr. Luporini was introduced to Craniosacral Therapy and holistic healing, which only solidified his passion. His mind and body had finally connected. When he thought his well being couldn’t get any better, it sky rocketed to levels he never even knew was possible.
Mr. Luporini works out on a regular basis. Main form of exercises include a lot of accessory work with kettlebells, power and Olympic weight lifting, monster bands, flow movements with clubs and maces and many other functional movement modalities. His daily routine is based on how well his recovery from the previous day is, as well as, his sleep quality. He goes for Therapy sessions at least once a month and does self fascial release work on daily basis.
Mr. Luporini enjoys daily ice bath plunge (cryotherapy) for recovery and health benefits. He believes that in order to be the best therapist and trainer one can be, the professional needs to be at his/her top general physical, health and mental preparedness.
